ORISHA Science
8 week course: $160 per person.
Decolonize from the myths and omens said about West African culture, and learn about the science of the Yoruba people. This 8 week course is introductory level, and required in order to attend future workshops.
The word spirituality triggers emotions like hope, faith, wish, and dependance of outside forces in our minds.This fact is the reason it was important to take the African from their sciences and adapt them to religions. As many of us are being exposed to ATR’s , during our explorations, we tend to keep the mind of our enslaved ancestors, and approach these sciences in the same way we approached the Church.
In this 8 week course we intend to bring the attendees to a place of understanding. A start point to regulate their journey back to their ancestral way of living. Wether Lukumi or Isese Orish practice, It has always been a way of life, a culture, and a science! ASÉ.Orisha Science Workshop Itinerary:
Lesson 1: Positioning the mind to think African
Lesson 2: Olodumare African Monotheism
Lesson 3: The Egungun (The Ancestors)
Lesson 4: Ori and Self actualization
Lesson 5: Eshu the void from which possibility become reality
Lesson 6: The Warriors (Eshu, Ogun, Ochoosi, and Osun)
Lesson 7: Ifa and Divination
Lesson 8: Ewe Pele (The Ancestors addiction to Good Character)
All those that wish to attend should email Tribe of Us Inc. at tribeofusinc@gmail.com to reserve their seats. Seating will be limited to 20 attendees in total. So first come first served. If you miss the workshop please pre register for the next one in advance.
(Understand, this is a basic level workshop intended to start your journey or create a base level of understanding. Attending this workshop WILL NOT give you authority to work with the Orisha, nor is it an initiation to the Orisha. Due to Orisha practice being a closed practice, no secrets will be shared at any time)
Dates will be discussed After registration in order to account for a full workshop that can accommodate everyone's schedule. Children under 13 are free to attend with accompanied parent.
